Our Express Facials are designed to exfoliate and decongest whilst hydrating and strengthening your skin to prepare you for our powerful cosmeceutical skincare routine and Advanced and Specialised Treatments.

Express Facials can be performed every week to once a month depending on the results you are after. If you are maintaining your skin then one facial every month in conjunction with your prescribed skincare will support your results. However, clients with active and recurring breakouts may need a series of facials at weekly intervals to combat their problematic skin. Likewise, clients wanting to transform their complexion will be recommended a more targeted skin program consisting of Advanced and Specialised Treatments.

Our Express Facials can be customised to suit most skins’ needs. However, if you are unwell or have an active cold sore on your face, then please reschedule your facial. Also, for our Express Microdermabrasion Facial; anyone with a bleeding disorder,  flared up and inflamed Psoriasis, Eczema or Dermatitis, open lesions and skin infections on or around the treatment area.

It is common for your skin to have a healthy, radiant and slightly flushed glow.

If your facial includes microdermabrasion or extractions, we highly recommend including a Cold Therapy Mask to rapidly calm red and swollen blemishes as your skin will be more flushed after your treatment. Depending on the health of your skin microdermabrasion may have temporary side effects that include; skin sensitivity, redness, heat, stinging, flaking/micro crusting, localised pinpoint bruising.

Our Express Facials have been designed so that if your skin is not prepared with cosmeceutical products, you can still get started with a facial right away. Great News! All our Express Facials can be customised to be safe throughout your pregnancy. If your facial includes any contraindicated products or elements your therapist will substitute a suitable add-on treatment, such as; enzymes, extractions, a customised antioxidant infusion, cold therapy mask, extra massage time or even to include your neck or decolletage for an ultimate immersive facial experience.

At the time of your appointment, your therapist will assess your skin and customise a treatment with the available booked time to suit your needs.

Extractions are the manual removal of lumps and bumps from under the skin. This includes; congestion, blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, breakouts and milia.

Extractions aid in detoxing and smoothing the skin, they also allow it to heal faster and prevent pink, brown or indented scarring that is often left behind after a breakout. Temporary swelling may be present after extractions, which usually subsides within 24-48 hours.

All our treatments with extractions include High Frequency where suitable.

Some bumps are not able to be removed with extractions, but may be suitable for Lamprobe removal.

High Frequency is a comfortable, quick and effective treatment for active breakouts, post extractions, poor healers and cold sores before they have erupted.

A low alternating electrical current is used and ozone gas is produced for an antibacterial and healing effect. You may feel tingling, warmth or have a mild metallic taste during the treatment.

High Frequency is not suitable for clients with braces, epilepsy, pacemakers, high blood pressure or during pregnancy.

If you have a lot of dead skin build-up, dehydration or deep congestion, you may breakout a couple of days after your facial while the skin is detoxifying. If this occurs, regular treatments are recommended to get on top of underlying congestion and prevent future breakouts.
